In my former life as a Fashion and Beauty Editor, I’ve seen it all (and tried it all) when it comes to beauty products. But the best thing I ever got wasn’t actually a product, it was great advice: My wax lady, Raisa, told me something in the early 90s that I have never forgotten. She said “I always buy the best because I can’t afford to buy anything twice.”
That sort of quality over quantity wisdom should apply to everything we buy, from sofas to sponges, because buying the best of its kind (in any category) is the best way to ensure you won’t have to buy it again. At least not for a long time.
