Our Approach to Ingredients

We formulate with three principles in mind:

Performance first.
A surface cleaner must actually clean. A hand soap must cleanse without stripping. Efficacy is not optional.

The majority of our ingredients are naturally derived from renewable plant sources.

Our products are manufactured locally under strict US regulatory standards—ensuring quality control, ingredient transparency, and supply chain integrity.

What We Leave Out

Our formulas are made without:

  • Added dyes
  • Bleach or chlorine
  • Ammonia
  • Caustics
  • Phosphates
  • Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES)
  • Non-sustainably sourced palm oil derivatives
  • Animal testing

Our cleaning products are biodegradable, marine safe, and septic safe when used as directed.

We design for the entire lifecycle of a product—not just the moment it's dispensed.

Natural vs. Synthetic: An Honest Conversation

In many cases, our formulas are approximately 99% naturally derived.

The remaining small percentage exists for two reasons: stability and fragrance.

And this is where we prefer clarity over marketing mythology.

Why We Use Synthetic Fragrance

We use cosmetic-grade, phthalate-free fragrance oils—often blended with essential oils—to create our signature scents.

Here's why:

  • Essential oils alone can oxidize and destabilize formulas
  • Some natural oils require high concentrations that may increase sensitivity
  • Synthetic aroma molecules allow us to create lighter, more refined scents
  • They ensure consistency from batch to batch
  • They reduce the environmental impact of overharvesting botanicals
  • They allow for allergen management and regulatory compliance

We formulate fragrance to enhance the cleaning experience—never to mask poor ingredients.

For those who prefer simplicity, we also offer fragrance-free options in select hand care products.

Not everything natural is inherently safer. Not everything synthetic is inherently harmful.

Most products are available in 32 oz refill sizes to reduce plastic waste. Select products are offered in reusable amber glass.

We believe sustainability should be practical, not performative.

Our formulas are tested and classified as non-irritating when used as directed.

However, as with all household cleaning and personal care products:
